Beginning Friday May 1st, we will begin the process of slowly reopening our facilities, while providing additional services at the club. As CDC and State and Local guidelines allows for more accommodations, we will continue to lift any restrictions set by the Club. Read below for the newest changes, as our main goal at Bay Pointe is to provide a safe and compliant golf course for all to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you at the course!
⏱Hours of Operation
Effective today (Friday May 1st) we will begin accepting tee times at 7:30 AM, and will extend play to 7:30 PM. No tee times will be allowed past 4:00 PM. This still gives our staff enough time to wash, clean, and sterilize our golf carts completely. The Pro Shop will continue to open at 6:30 AM each day. The 19th Hole Restaurant and Mr.B’s will operate from 10 AM to 3 PM Monday through Sunday.
The practice range will be open from 8 AM to 6 PM every day except Tuesday, in which case we will open the range beginning at 11 AM due to weekly course maintenance. For now…. range balls will be poured in small piles on the range tee. The range tee will be limited to only 10 hitting stations only. Guests will need to pay for range balls in the Pro Shop ($10). We will have someone monitoring the range during this time.
We will pick up range balls on the practice tee at 6:00 PM. This will all depend on how well our members and guests can adhere to these rules. If for any reason we feel that social distancing is not being met, or someone is abusing these policies, we will ask that person(s) to leave.
Marshals on the Course
We want to assure our members and guests have the best golf experience at Bay Pointe. Beginning Saturday, we are providing Marshals on the golf course to monitor all activity and provide a service for our players. Aside from monitoring pace of play and cart path rules, our Marshals will also be on the lookout for any large gatherings on the course, or any groups not adhering to our social distancing or course guidelines.
Reminder of Policies in Place for Golfer and Employee Safety
Food and Beverage Operations
We are takeout only as all orders are to be phoned in and picked up in front of the clubhouse, curbside. No sales or takeout at counter. If you plan to be at the course and need something from the restaurant, please order by 2:30 pm. As mentioned, our food & beverage services will be from 10 to 3 daily.
Golf Course safety measures:
Removed rakes, water coolers; pins placed in upside down cups with no pin contact with hand permitted, one rider per cart, extensive cleaning of exposed surfaces and all carts with bleach. DO NOT TOUCH OR REMOVE PINS!
Only 2 people are allowed in the Pro Shop for check in. Restrooms will remain open with limited access, doors propped open, extensive cleaning of all surfaces and restrooms.
Golf operations and expectations:
1 player per cart, 6 feet between any players, no group gatherings, example: this means if you have a group of 20 players with 4 or 5 tee times, you must report to the tee as a single group of 4 or 5 not a gathering of 20 all waiting at the tee. Please wait for the group in front of you to exit the teeing ground before pulling up to the tee, NO LARGE GROUPS AT ANY TEE, PLEASE WAIT YOUR TURN. As always we limit any tee time to a maximum of 5 players. Please keep your distance.
No large gatherings before or after playing, and please stay at the required distance of at least six feet.
We continue to follow current CDC policies, but for your safety, and our employees safety, we ask that you please follow these guidelines. We have to do this together, any failure to follow what we have laid out in this plan will result in your dismissal from our property. This is a difficult time for all of us, golf is great for your health and state of mind but we can only continue this service with everyone’s cooperation.
